As EVP & General Counsel, Alex Kisch is responsible for defining and developing Vevo’s global business strategy, overseeing business operations, content acquisition, licensing, syndication and distribution efforts. He also oversees Vevo’s day-to-day legal affairs. One of the company’s founding members, Kisch has helped to grow Vevo into the world’s leading all-premium music and entertainment video platform. Today Vevo boasts over 24 billion monthly global views. Prior to Vevo, Kisch was VP of Music Strategy & Programming at MTV Networks, where he helped develop and expand MTVN’s global music initiatives across linear television, TV-VOD and the company’s online and mobile platforms on a cross-brand basis, as well as playing a role in the establishment of the digital music subscription platform, Urge. He also held posts within Business & Legal Affairs at Sony BMG and BMG Music. Prior to that, Kisch represented numerous recording artists and independent record labels, as well as working as a recording artist and songwriter himself. Kisch holds a BA from Vassar College and a JD from Boston University School of Law.
