While today's songwriters and performers can potentially make more money than ever before, that doesn't automatically mean they're going to be set for life. We've all seen the hard luck stories about singers who were big stars just a few years ago who somehow wind up penniless after a series of setbacks, and we continue to see artists from all genres or music, who declare bankruptcy, sometimes even repeatedly, in an effort to manage debts that exceed their incomes.
